FLContractorPrep is built for the superintendent, project manager or lead carpenter chasing the Florida Certified General Contractor license — someone who already runs the work in the field and now has to prove it across two state trade exams before they can pull permits under their own name.
Why we built FLContractorPrep
The CGC trade exam is unusual: two separate parts, 60 scored questions each, 4.5 hours each, both open book, and 70% to pass — a bar the DBPR explicitly does not round up. Being open book is what catches people out. The answer is somewhere in the approved references, but nine hours of testing punishes anyone who has to hunt for every one of them. What separates the people who pass is knowing the material well enough that the books only confirm what they already believe. Our 352 practice questions cover all eleven content areas across both parts, weighted from the state's published Examination Content Information, with Project Contracts — 40% of the Contract Administration part on its own — carrying the heaviest drill.
How we keep it current
Construction rules in Florida do not sit still. The Florida Building Code cycles, Chapter 489 F.S. and Rule 61G4 F.A.C. get amended, OSHA standards are revised, and the DBPR periodically updates both the Examination Content Information sheets that set the content-area weights and the approved reference list that defines what you may carry into the test centre — including which edition of the Florida Contractors Manual applies. We review our bank against the current ECI and reference list, then revise questions and explanations when a code, statute or weighting changes, so your practice reflects the exam Florida gives today.

About our questions
Our practice questions are written in-house by Hilogistic, Corp to cover the same content areas and reference materials tested on the Florida Certified General Contractor Trade Exam (Contract Administration & Project Management). They are original items designed to build real understanding — not copied or leaked exam questions. We review and update them as the state's requirements and reference materials change.
